Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregate or asphalt safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport aggregate and asphalt to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload gravel, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate paperwork of driving hours, routes, and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including basic repairs when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Familiarity with gravel trucks and gravel trailers.
- Knowledge of paving and basic truck repair is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and heavy equipment operation.
