Polaris Eye Care is a modern optometry clinic dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-focused eye care in a warm and welcoming environment. We value teamwork, learning, and creating positive experiences for both our patients and our staff.
We are seeking a motivated Optometric Assistant who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and contributing to a positive clinic environment. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, adaptable, and able to multitask in a busy setting. Training will be provided.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome patients warmly and help guide them through their visit
- Help patients select frames and lenses and perform fittings and adjustments
- Assist with optical sales and day-to-day clinic operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting clinic and retail space
- Book, confirm, and manage eye exam appointments
- Assist with patient pre-testing and prepare patients for their eye exams (training provided)
- Support contact lens fittings and patient education (training provided)
- Handle administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing payments
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth clinic flow

Experience
- Customer service or retail experience preferred (healthcare an asset)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Previous optical experience or familiarity with optical products is a plus but not required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60-$21.00 per hour
