Nakusp Brewing Co. is a new brewery and taproom opening in July 2026, with lake views and a cozy, welcoming space. We brew small-batch beer with a rotating lineup of creative releases alongside a few familiar favourites. We’re looking for a part-time taproom server to join our team.
This role is primarily front-of-house, but also includes some light brewery cleaning and maintenance support. It’s a good fit for someone who enjoys both customer service and hands-on work.
What you’ll do
- Serve beer and simple snacks in a friendly, welcoming taproom environment
- Share knowledge about our beers and brewing process with customers
- Maintain a clean and organized taproom (tables, bar, glassware, floors)
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures
- Assist with cash handling and POS transactions
- Support basic brewery tasks such as:
- Cleaning kegs and equipment
- Assisting with beer transfers (as trained)
- General cleaning and upkeep of the brewing space
- Help maintain a positive, community-oriented atmosphere
- Expected hours: 8-24/week
What we’re looking for
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Willingness to learn about beer and brewing
- Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting kegs, cleaning, standing for shifts)
- Previous serving experience is an asset, but not required
- 19 years+
- Serving It Right certification
