Core & Main Canada is currently seeking two Meter Sales Specialists to join the Toronto team! This will be a primarily remote role, requiring travel to customer sites within the assigned territory. One territory will cover Toronto to the West and the other will cover Toronto to the East.
Job Summary
Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers. Sells technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers for specific technical products and/or application of product.
Prospecting and Lead Generation
- Identify potential customers through various channels including working with assigned OSR, cold calls, networking, and social media platforms (LinkedIn).
- Utilize Sales Force to track opportunities, log customer activity, and store pertinent account related data.
- Develop a list of major target accounts and work in conjunction with the National Metering team to develop short- and long-term strategies for success.
- Deliver solution sales results that meet regional and company objectives.
Customer Needs Assessment
- Engage with customers to better understand their needs, challenges, and objectives to help offer a tailored, turnkey solution.
Product/Service Presentation
- Demonstrate and explain the features, benefits, and value of the product or service to potential customers.
- Exhibit strong presentation skills by having a complete knowledge of the Sensus product line as well as the major competitive offerings.
- Act as the lead presenter and subject matter expert for all customer presentations.
Promote Core+ products and services by leading all sales conversations in that direction.
- Offerings to include but not limited to consultative services, project design and engineering, meter installation, project management, leak detection, AMS, post installation maintenance & management, field service software, etc.
- Utilize the National Metering RFP team to ensure consistency and professionalism in all documents provided to potential customers.
Requirements
- BS/BA in related field or 5+ years’ experience in metering & technology
- Prior smart utility experience preferred (AMI, AMR, AMS)
- Municipal account experience preferred
- Overnight travel required as needed within sales territory, valid driver's license required

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
