Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Finance team by assisting with processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, posting financial transactions and maintaining accounting records.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Accounting or related field or working towards an accounting designation
- Must obtain a Police Information Check
- 2-5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with Sage 50 accounting software is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to ensure confidentiality and security of organizational records
The position is a temporary, part-time (14 hours/week) in-person job opportunity in downtown Edmonton to August 31, 2026. The starting pay range for this position is between $22.30/hr - $28.28/hr plus 6% vacation pay. Pay considerations are based on assessment of the successful candidate’s education, skills, previous experience and other factors.
