What You’ll Be Doing
- Researching and identifying prospective customers within manufacturing, construction, demolition, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Making calls, preparing emails, and participating in networking activities to generate new business opportunities.
- Scheduling and attending client meetings and site visits.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Preparing and following up on quotations and service proposals.
- Maintaining accurate client information and sales activity records within our CRM system.
- Collaborating with operations and management teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Staying informed on industry trends and market opportunities.
- Supporting client retention and account growth initiatives.
- Representing DMS Metals professionally in the community and at industry events.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Post secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in scrap metal industry (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, business development, account management, logistics, construction, industrial services, recycling, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage clients professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
- Basic understanding of scrap metal recycling, construction, manufacturing, transportation or industrial operations is considered an asset.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where customer service and responsiveness are key.
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean driving record and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
Travel Requirements
This role involves regular travel throughout the GTA. Candidates must be willing to:
- Visit client locations, manufacturing facilities and construction sites.
- Attend client meetings and networking opportunities.
- Conduct occasional site assessments and prospect visits.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
