Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for a full-time Wellness Coach (formerly Success Coach) position
serving Barrhead Composite High School.

The Position
In the capacity of a Wellness Coach,
the successful candidate must be a self-directed team player interested in
providing supportive counselling to students. The successful candidate must be
willing to work in a collaborative environment. Hours of work will be 5 days/week, Monday to Friday at 7.5 hours/day following the school calendar. Duties to commence August 27, 2026 and will end June 25, 2027.
Working with school teams within
a consultative and collaborative model duties may include:

Offer co-regulation
support to students aligned with their Safety and Regulation Support Plans
- Provide comprehensive risk
assessment, develop safety plans and ensure follow-up care for students that
experience suicidal ideations and other self-harming behaviors
- Working as part of a
multidisciplinary team to help meet the educational, social, emotional and
communication needs of students
- Referral and navigation of
community resources and advocacy for student needs
- Providing mental wellness
and school-wide programming presentations to students
- Advocate for students’
needs with teachers, administrators, parents and other professionals
- Provide support to staff and students to support the effects of
critical incidents, and participate as required in student threat assessment
and management
Qualifications
- Education and experience
in Psychology, Education, or related fields
- Formal training and/or
experience in counselling and trauma-sensitive practices
- Awareness of ethical
foundations in counselling and experience establishing and maintaining ethical
boundaries and confidentiality in rural communities
- Ability to develop
relationships with students built on rapport and mutual respect
- Ability to work
independently and also collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills with students and adults
- Enthusiastic and motivated
to help students succeed
- Access to reliable
transportation
