Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee and assist with the execution of landscape construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient project delivery. Your leadership will help guide a team of skilled workers, coordinate tasks, and maintain safety standards across all job sites. Responsibilities
- Help with daily operations on landscape construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications
- Assist with the installation of irrigation systems, gardening features, and other landscape elements
- Coordinate with team members to assign duties, monitor progress, and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular site inspections
- Support the training and mentoring of crew members to improve skills in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction techniques
- Ensure quality control by inspecting work at various stages of completion and making necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet project timelines and expectations
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape construction, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
- Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated leadership abilities in managing teams
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance techniques
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles
- Construction experience including site preparation, planting, hardscaping, and finishing work
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail
