About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Hydrovac Operator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hydrovac trucks to complete a variety of hydro excavation projects including utility exposure, trenching, and debris removal.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydrovac trucks safely and efficiently on various job sites
- Perform hydro excavation including utility daylighting, trenching, and debris removal
- Use high-pressure water systems and vacuum equipment to complete work
- Read and interpret plans, diagrams, and locate markings
- Ensure a strong understanding of underground utility locates
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate paperwork (driver logs, work orders, safety documentation)
- Communicate professionally with clients, crew members, and supervisors
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and perform basic equipment maintenance
- Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements (CVOR, Book 7, etc.)
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Class DZ, AZ, or equivalent with air brake endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Previous hydrovac, vacuum truck, or related industry experience preferred
- Experience operating manual transmissions (10–18 speed) considered an asset
- Strong understanding of CVOR regulations and Book 7 traffic control requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs
- Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts when required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
