Job Title: 4th Class Stationary Engineer

Job Type: 6-Month Contract
Our client, a well-established educational institution in North York, is seeking a 4th Class Stationary Engineer to join their facilities team on a 6-month contract. This position will provide coverage for the Chief Stationary Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC, and other mechanical building systems.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Respond to building alarms, equipment issues, and emergency situations as required.
- Complete preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Monitor and record operating conditions, equipment readings, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, operating procedures, and TSSA requirements.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and building automation system issues.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the facility while providing coverage for the Chief Stationary Engineer.
Qualifications
- Valid 4th Class Stationary Engineer Certificate (Mandatory)
- Previous experience operating and maintaining commercial or institutional building systems.
- Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, and related mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, operating manuals, and technical documentation.
