HOURS: 1000-1800 Wed/Thurs & 0700-1500 Fri/Sat (0.84 FTE, 59.9 biweekly hours)
DAYS OFF: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
SALARY: Grid 22 / $31.64 hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
Providence Living is a newly created non-profit Catholic-sponsored health care organization focused on long-term care, assisted living, housing, and other community services to support seniors and their family members. Positions at this level supervise over 16 Housekeeping Aides/Cleaners and perform a variety of housekeeping duties.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
Supervises over 16 Housekeeping Aides/Cleaners by performing duties such as scheduling and coordinating work assignments, and determining related training and orientation requirements.
Performs and/or directs the performance of a variety of cleaning duties such as washing walls, windows and ceilings, scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors and stairways and vacuuming carpets.
Orders cleaning supplies and equipment.
Maintains related reports and records.
Acts as liaison with other departments.
Prepares budget estimates and monitors budget for assigned area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training & Experience:
Grade 12, plus three years' recent related experience including six months' supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Ability to supervise.
Ability to organize work.
