Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry and eager to develop their skills in a cafe/restaurant environment.
The shifts for this role typically fall between the hours of 12-10pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
- Support our Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety.
- Assist with food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate with our front of house team members to ensure efficient service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by demonstrating leadership qualities and effective communication.
Experience & Expectations
- A passion for food and working in a kitchen environment. Experience is not mandatory for this role. If you are a hard working individual with attention to detail and have the goal to learn, our Head Chef will guide you in all things food service!
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service environments is an asset.
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and previous work in a restaurant environment is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting and maintain good communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
