Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Lumber Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will assist customers in selecting lumber and building materials, provide excellent customer service, and support daily store operations. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, enhance product knowledge, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our clients. Bilingual abilities and technical sales experience are a plus for this position.
Duties
- Assist customers in locating and selecting lumber, building materials, and related products.
- Provide product demonstrations and technical advice to help customers make informed decisions.
- Handle sales transactions accurately using POS systems, including cash handling and processing payments.
- Upsell additional products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the store is clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with stock organization.
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person.
- Support store operations through effective time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively.
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base.
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for accurate transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
Pay: $140.00-$500.00 per day
