Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pool Technician to join our team. No experience is required but would be preferred. We are looking for someone to learn and handle a fast-past enviourment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential and some commercial swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and functioning efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of pool systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform various maintenance tasks in outdoor environments. The Pool Technician will also assist with landscape maintenance and related construction projects as needed, utilizing hand tools and power tools to complete assigned duties.
Duties
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders
- Balance water chemistry to ensure safe swimming conditions
- Clean pools by skimming debris, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces
- Perform routine repairs and troubleshooting of pool systems and mechanical components
- Use hand tools and power tools for installation, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Assist with landscape maintenance activities such as gardening, irrigation system checks, and horticultural care
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators when necessary for pool renovations or construction projects
- Ensure safety standards are followed during all maintenance activities
- Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas for landscape upkeep and construction needs
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs performed, and parts used
Qualifications
- Prior experience with pool maintenance or related mechanical work preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening practices, horticulture, landscape maintenance, and construction is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools and power tools required
- Experience operating excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
- Willingness to learn new skills related to pool systems and landscape projects

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
