Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lumber Cutting / Ripping Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves precise wood processing, utilizing various tools and machinery to produce high-quality lumber products. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate saws and CNC machines to accurately cut and rip lumber according to specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to shape and finish wood components
- Measure and mark lumber using calipers, tape measures, and other precision instruments
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as forklifts, machining tools, and other manufacturing machinery
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist with loading and unloading materials within the warehouse or production area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Experience with woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, and CNC machinery
- Knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse safety procedures
- Ability to read technical drawings and AutoCAD plans is a plus
- Familiarity with machining techniques and the use of calipers for precise measurements
- Construction experience or background in woodworking is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail, safety-mindedness, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
