Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator – Doors, Frames & Hardware

Wilson Architectural Door & Hardware is a leading provider of contract hardware project management in doors, architectural hardware throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator / Project Coordinator.
This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career in the construction industry. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
Estimating & Pre-Construction
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs for hollow metal doors, frames, wood doors, and architectural hardware.
- Request quotations from manufacturers and suppliers.
- Prepare project estimates, quotations, and proposals.
- Analyze project requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, suppliers, and customers throughout the estimating process.
Project Coordination
- Prepare and manage project startup documentation, including Notices of Project, insurance certificates, bonding documents, installation schedules, and project-specific safety documentation.
- Maintain project information including work plans, schedules, project files, and reports.
- Provide Project Managers with accurate project reporting, budget updates, and schedule tracking.
- Effectively communicate project information to clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
- Assist with preparation of construction progress reports and project documentation.
- Maintain databases of customers, projects, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Source, order, receive, pick, and ship materials and supplies as required.
Professional Development
- Maintain technical knowledge through manufacturer training, educational workshops, and industry publications.
- Participate in our mentorship and development program designed to support career advancement within the company.
Qualifications
- Architectural Technology Advanced Diploma required.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid G Driver's Licence.
- Clear criminal background check.
- General understanding of construction practices and blueprint reading.
- Experience in doors, hardware, construction estimating, project coordination, or related industries is considered an asset but is not required.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
