Olympus Cannabis is an authorized cannabis retailer focused on creating a safe and informative shopping environment. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable full-time Sales Associate to join our front-line retail team.
This role suits someone who enjoys engaging with people, understands cannabis products and regulations, and thrives in a fast-paced retail setting. Reliable personal transportation is essential, as some tasks may include deliveries.
Position Summary
As a Cannabis Sales Associate, you will be responsible for delivering excellent in-store service, sharing cannabis knowledge, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the day-to-day flow of the store.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection, offering tailored recommendations based on preferences, needs, and experience levels
- Provide clear information on usage methods, dosing, and safety
- Verify age and government-issued identification in accordance with Ontario law
- Use point-of-sale systems to complete transactions efficiently and accurately
- Fulfill curbside pickup and delivery orders — applicants must possess a valid G-class driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Maintain organized product displays and keep inventory stocked and rotated
- Support store cleanliness and merchandising standards
- Stay informed about new product lines, promotional pricing, and changes in industry regulations
- Assist with inventory audits and backroom organization
- Adhere to opening/closing procedures and all store security protocols
- Contribute to a positive team culture and help ensure a smooth retail operation
Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- Valid G-Class driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle (required)
- CannSell certification (must be completed prior to start date)
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or hospitality preferred
- Working knowledge of cannabis products and the Cannabis License Act
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with POS systems and payment processing
- Dependable, proactive, and a collaborative team player
