Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant - Contractor (MVA)

We are currently seeking experienced Rehabilitation Support Contractors to work with clients recovering from traumatic brain injury, mental health challenges, and orthopaedic injuries in community settings.
About the Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will implement individualized rehabilitation programs under the direction of regulated health professionals. This includes:
- Behavioural support and intervention implementation
- Functional cognitive and daily living support
- Community reintegration
- Supporting physiotherapy and occupational therapy goals
- Promoting independence and quality of life
This is a community-based, client-facing role with a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years experience in brain injury, mental health, and/or orthopaedic rehabilitation
- Strong understanding of behavioural strategies and cognitive support
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in one of the following:
- Psychology
- Social Work / Social Service Worker
- Behavioural Sciences / ABA
- OTA/PTA
- Kinesiology
- Addictions / Mental Health
- Rehabilitation-related fields
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Crisis management certification (e.g., NVCI, UMAB, Safe Management) considered an asset
