Our client, a leading production facility in the East of Ottawa, is seeking two (2) dedicated Production Workers (Overnights) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a well-established organization. The position is a 1-month contract with a strong potential for extension.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new responsibilities
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Reliable attendance and ability to consistently maintain the required schedule
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 8-hour shifts
- Reliable transportation is required, as public transit is not available at the end of the shift
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Package finished products according to production requirements
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before boxing
- Assemble, label, seal, and stack boxes for shipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Meet daily production targets while following quality standards
- Report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- Lifting up to 50lbs as required
- Assist with general production and warehouse duties as required
Wage: $19.95 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday – 5:00pm to 1:30am
