In addition to our manufacturing operations, we operate an innovative garnet recycling facility that processes spent abrasive material through a specialized washing and recovery system, returning it to near-virgin quality for reuse.
We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Front End Loader Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys operating heavy equipment, working independently, and contributing to an environmentally responsible manufacturing process.
Position Summary
The Front End Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating a front-end loader to move and transport garnet sand throughout the recycling process. This role involves feeding raw material into the wash plant, monitoring material flow, maintaining equipment, and ensuring production targets are met while adhering to all safety and quality standards.

- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a front-end loader to move, stockpile, and transport sand and aggregate materials.
- Feed spent garnet material into the wash plant for processing and recycling.
- Monitor material flow and maintain consistent production levels throughout the shift.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping around the processing plant and work areas.
- Monitor plant operations and identify issues that may affect production or product quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor operational issues and communicate larger concerns to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures and ensure equipment is operated safely at all times.
- Support general yard and production activities as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a front-end loader or similar heavy equipment is required.
- Experience working in aggregate, recycling, construction, mining, or industrial environments is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid equipment operator certification is an asset.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
