Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of prior landscaping experience, have a passion for outdoor work and a desire to contribute to the beautification and maintenance of various landscaping projects. This role involves various landscaping tasks including carting and spreading mulch and aggregates, pruning trees and plants, mowing grass, installing interlocking bricks and assisting with many other hardscape projects. You must be physically able to stand, bend and squat for long periods of time and enjoy a variety of physical activities while working outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Move and install mulch, aggregates, soil and other related material to assist with creating softscape and hardscape projects
- Assist in the installation of new landscapes, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Remove weeds, rake and collect litter and debris
- Operate power tools and equipment such as mini excavators, skid steers, chain saws, pruning saws, stone saws, compactors, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers, sod cutters and snow blowers
- Lay Sod
- Cutting grass, weed-eating, blowing grass clippings, collect litter and debris
- Assist in the installation of interlocking bricks for various hardscape projects
- Assist in spring and fall outdoor cleanups
- Maintain general cleanliness and organization of work areas, work trucks, tools and equipment
Skills
- Preferably 3 + years of prior landscaping experience
- Proficiency in using power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and saws.
- Familiarity with various hand tools used for various landscaping and hardscaping tasks.
- Strong motivation and attention to detail.
- Experience installing retaining walls, and interlocking stone walk ways and patios.
- Collaboration skills that foster efficient team work.
- Possession of a valid G class Driver's License

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
