Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Welders/Fitters with a solid background in structural and equipment fabrication. You will work on drilling rigs, substructures, and various oilfield components. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, weld with precision, and work efficiently in a busy shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding on structural components and rig assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings
- Fit and assemble metal components according to specifications
- Use shop tools and equipment including:
- Oxy/acetylene torch
- Plasma cutter
- Drills and grinders
- Perform rigging operations safely when moving or positioning heavy components
- Troubleshoot fitting/welding issues using strong mechanical knowledge
- Work collaboratively with the shop team to meet production timelines
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years welding experience (preferred)
- 2+ years fitting experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, squares, tape measures
- Solid understanding of basic fabrication math
- Machining experience is an asset but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$38.00 per hour
