Summary
The Wetout Labourer is responsible for preparing and processing cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liners for installation in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. Working in a shop environment, this hands-on role involves all aspects of the wetout process, including liner preparation, resin mixing, equipment operation, material handling, quality control testing, and loading completed liners for transport. The successful candidate will work closely with the Wetout Crew to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while maintaining equipment, inventory, and a clean work environment. This position is well-suited for individuals with industrial or construction experience who enjoy physical work and are committed to safety and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) liner according to the exact specifications agreed upon by the customer.
- All aspects of CIPP preparation, to include: staging, wrapping, loading, stacking and fastening CIPP liner into the back of the transport vehicle.
- Using fork lift to bring liner into the shop to prepare.
- Catalyst Mixing, Using static mixers for dispensing, Gel testing
- Wet out tube in a safe and effective manner using a winch, truck, Left truck other Nip roller appropriate equipment
- Pinch roller gap setting, apply Vacuum, adding resin bung hole
- Installing turn rope,
- loading wet tube in truck totes conveyor trailer, preparing samples
- Ensure material and equipment is stocked and ready for use.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, work areas and equipment
- Employees comply with all government and corporate safety procedures and ensure staff compliance.
- Work effectively with supervisor and all members of the Crew to ensure successful Wetout process.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in an industrial or construction environment required.
- Experience working in a physical labour position preferred.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, crouch, reach with hands and arms and stoop
- Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to complete applicable reports, records and related administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all who are involved in the CIPP process.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1st Aid, CSTS, TDG, Confined Space and WHIMIS Safety Tickets an asset.
