Key ResponsibilitiesHR Administration
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS databases.
- Prepare employment letters, HR reports, and personnel documentation.
- Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
WSIB & Disability Management
- Manage WSIB claims from initiation through resolution.
- Liaise with employees, healthcare providers, managers, and WSIB representatives.
- Coordinate return-to-work (RTW) and workplace accommodation programs.
- Maintain claim documentation and ensure timely reporting requirements are met.
- Monitor employee absences, disability cases, and modified work arrangements.
Employee Relations
- Provide first-level HR support to employees and managers.
- Assist with employee concerns, policy interpretation, and workplace investigations.
- Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
Health & Safety
- Support occupational health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Coordinate health and safety training and documentation.
- Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP designation or progress toward designation is an asset.
- 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or a regulated environment.
- Hands-on experience managing WSIB claims and return-to-work programs.
- Knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA), Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), and WSIB regulations.
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospitals, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, or community healthcare organizations.
- Knowledge of disability management, accommodation processes, and occupational health programs.
- Experience supporting unionized environments is considered an asset.
Pay: $63,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
