Otter Trail Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and hospitality-focused Server/Bartender to join our team. Nestled in the heart of Langley, our winery offers guests a unique farm-to-table dining experience paired with exceptional wines and warm, welcoming service.
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys engaging with guests, and has a strong appreciation for food, wine, and creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, friendly, and attentive table service to guests.
- Serve wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of winery offerings, wine styles, food menus, and specials.
- Make recommendations and confidently answer guest questions regarding wine and food pairings.
- Process guest orders accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, patio, bar, and service areas.
- Assist with winery events, weddings, and private functions as required.
- Follow all food safety and liquor service regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, and event teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Support weddings, corporate events, private functions, and winery events, including setup, service, bartending, and guest assistance as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of serving and/or bartending experience in a restaurant, winery, brewery, cocktail bar, or similar hospitality environment.
- Previous winery or wine-focused restaurant experience is considered an asset.
- General wine knowledge and an interest in learning more about wine production and service.
- Valid Serving It Right certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
- Availability to work weekends is required, as the role includes regular participation in weddings, special events, and private functions throughout the season.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
