We are seeking a highly skilled Framing Manager to lead our construction projects. Based in Bow Island, Alberta this role is vital in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality structures that align with our company's mission of innovation and sustainability.
Position Summary
The Framing Manager is responsible for overseeing daily framing operations, managing team performance and workflow, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards, and providing technical expertise for manufacturing and project execution. This role supports productivity, quality control, scheduling coordination, and continuous improvement within the framing department.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and supervise framing team members and daily shop operations.
- Coordinate scheduling and prioritize daily workflow to meet production targets.
- Identify and remove operational obstacles affecting productivity and efficiency.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Subject Matter Expert (SME)
- Serve as the primary technical resource for framing manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot production and installation issues.
- Review and resolve variances and alternate specifications.
- Ensure conformance to project specifications, shop drawings, and quality standards.
- Review shop drawings for accuracy and manufacturability.
Project Support & Coordination
- Provide technical advice during pre-construction and post-construction phases.
- Support project scheduling and coordination with internal departments and site teams.
- Assist in identifying project risks and developing practical solutions.
Trade Procurement & Vendor Coordination
- Complete material take-offs and support procurement activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Manage requisitions for minor materials and consumables required for production.
Safety & Quality Management
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Support ITC management and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure all work is completed according to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Participate in inspections, audits, and corrective action initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong knowledge of framing systems, manufacturing processes, and construction drawings.
- Leadership and team management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical and production-related issues efficiently.
- Excellent organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality control procedures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting shop drawings and specifications.
Pay: $34.00-$38.00 per hour
