Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our team in our new Vaughan location. This role involves supporting daily financial and administrative operations within a professional office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in clerical and customer service functions. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient office management while gaining valuable experience in accounting and administrative tasks.
Duties
- Manage data entry and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and bookkeeping software
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and billing processes
- Assist with filing, document management, and record keeping to ensure compliance and organization
- Support front desk operations including greeting visitors, managing multi-line phone systems, and providing excellent customer service
- Perform general clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, and proofreading documents
- Coordinate appointments, schedule meetings, and maintain calendars using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools
- Provide customer support via phone or email, addressing inquiries professionally with proper phone etiquette
- Support medical or dental office functions if applicable, including patient check-in/out and maintaining patient records
Experience
- Prior office experience preferred, especially in administrative or clerical roles
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Google Workspace is highly desirable
- Experience with data entry, filing systems, and multi-line phone systems is essential
- Previous customer service or front desk experience is a plus
- Knowledge of medical or dental office procedures (such as dental receptionist duties) is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in proofreading and document accuracy
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
