Pace Processing is currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our afternoon shift. This role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, supervising employees, and ensuring all processes are carried out in accordance with company procedures, food safety regulations, quality standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage a fast-paced production environment while maintaining efficiency, quality, and team accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets and deadlines are met
- Assign employees to production lines based on operational needs and staffing requirements
- Ensure proper line set-up, staffing, and readiness prior to the start of production
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and efficiency throughout the shift
- Identify and address production issues to minimize downtime and maintain output
- Ensure products are produced in accordance with company standards and specifications
- Support production activities and step in where required to maintain operations
- Supervise, coach, and support employees to ensure performance expectations are met
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations consistently
- Address attendance, performance, and conduct concerns in collaboration with HR
- Provide training, guidance, and ongoing feedback to employees
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment
- Ensure equipment and machinery are operating safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with Maintenance to address equipment malfunctions and downtime
- Ensure proper execution of start-up, changeover, and shut-down procedures
- Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Ensure food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation standards are followed at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in inspections, audits, and quality checks as required
- Ensure employees remove prohibited items (e.g., jewelry, nail polish) prior to entering production areas
- Ensure all employees wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company policies
- Identify and report hazards, unsafe conditions, or near-miss incidents
- Ensure incidents and injuries are reported and addressed appropriately
Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, GMPs, and production processes
- Ability to stand for extended periods and support production floor operations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned Afternoon shifts
- Comfortable working in cool or temperature-controlled environments

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
