Manager, Commercial Partnerships
The UMC team works four days a week from our award-winning creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto, and one day to work virtually.
Reporting to the Director, Commercial Partnerships, the Manager, Commercial Partnerships oversees Universal Music Canada’s social strategy across our entire domestic roster, developing and consistently optimizing social plans that amplify key moments within an artist timeline, while also using data to uncover key areas of opportunity for our artists in the social space. This role is UMC’s internal expert on social accounts and acts as a champion for our artists globally within the social media space.
How You’ll Lead:
Ideate, direct and oversee on-going social media strategies for all domestic artists on the UMC roster
Use data to identify areas (markets) of opportunity for each project; optimize social strategies to best serve those target global markets
Use data and reports to measure performance of social campaigns to constantly optimize for best results
Provide social media expertise across the company and liaise with UMC marketing team to construct social campaigns that help amplify key moments within an artist timeline (new releases, touring, etc)
Share reports and data that help uncover areas of opportunity (both repertoire-based and market-based)
Work with UMC marketing and artist teams to ensure social profiles are optimized and accurate
Foster relationships with internal and external global counterparts
Establish, nurture and expand relationships with social partners
Communicate with project managers and the larger UMC organization to share best practices, campaign results and new strategic approaches and developments
On-going learning to grow expertise with social accounts to share across UMC departments and teams
Consistent review of UMC’s social processes to look for areas to improve efficiency and success
Overseeing relationships and finding opportunities for artists on various limited service digital partners
Other duties as assigned

3-5 years of relevant experience

Salary Range:
$58,000 - $65,000
The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
