We're seeking a skilled and patient-centred Cardiology Technician to join our dynamic team, starting with one day a week. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to have extended hours to full-time later.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive cardiac testing, including 12-lead ECGs, treadmill stress tests, and Holter/24-hour BP monitor hookups, screening and initial interpretation
Assist with stress echocardiograms, including dobutamine testing and contrast administration
Prepare patients for procedures with clear explanations and compassionate care
Maintain strict patient confidentiality and safety protocols
Ensure proper equipment function through regular maintenance and quality control
Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, sonographers, and administrative staff
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and testing documentation
Qualifications We're Looking For:
✅ Required:
Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent
Current registration with CSCT (or provincial equivalent)
CPR/BLS certification
1-2+ years of experience in cardiac diagnostics
Strong arrhythmia interpretation skills
✅ Preferred Assets:
ACLS certification
IV certification
Experience with Cerebrum EMR
Experience with HE/LX Holter software is an asset
