About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator with 5+ years of hands-on forklift operation experience to support our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient material handling, loading and unloading of goods, inventory movement, and compliance with warehouse safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Forklift Operations
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking goods.
- Move pallets, large items, and inbound/outbound shipments according to warehouse plans.
- Assist with container loading and unloading while ensuring product integrity.
- Maintain accurate placement of goods in assigned storage or staging areas.
Warehouse Coordination
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to complete daily material handling tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and reposition stock as required.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company operating policies.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any operational issues.
- Ensure a safe work area during all forklift and warehouse activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of Forklift operating experience.
- Mandarin is an asset.
- Valid forklift license/certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse workflows and safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Experience using RF scanners.
- Experience with container unloading.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer or data-entry skills.
