PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical support role within the Logistics & Security team, assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics controls across PACT. This role focuses on day‑to‑day coordination, documentation, tracking, stakeholder interface, and site support, ensuring logistics plans are implemented effectively throughout all phases of construction. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with Logistics Managers, Security Managers, construction teams, subcontractors, GTAA stakeholders, and third‑party service providers to support safe, secure, and efficient movement of people, materials, and equipment within the live airfield and terminal environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and maintain detailed logistics plans and layouts to support efficient operational workflows.
- Support the implementation of logistics management plans for multiple construction projects within the airport environment.
- Coordinate material deliveries, laydown areas, access routes, staging zones, and worksite flow in collaboration with construction teams.
- Track logistics activities to ensure alignment with approved plans, permits, and airport operational requirements.
- Support planning for temporary closures, access changes, and construction phasing impacts.
- Assist with access control processes, including personnel access requests, escorts, and site entry procedures.
- Coordinate with security teams on restricted area access, badging, and compliance with airport security protocols (e.g., RAIC requirements).
- Support contractors and visitors with access-related documentation and onboarding requirements.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining logistics plans and procedures, site access matrices, delivery schedules and tracking logs, and stakeholder communications and notices.
- Maintain accurate records and support audits, reporting, and compliance tracking.
- Support development of presentations, dashboards, and summary reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between logistics/security teams, construction managers, subcontractors, airport authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Support coordination meetings and follow-up actions related to logistics planning.
- Conduct site walks and inspections to verify logistics and access controls are functioning as planned.
- Identify issues on-site and escalate concerns to the Logistics Manager.
- Support problem-solving related to access conflicts, delivery delays, congestion, or compliance issues.
- Support with other duties as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required. Your work schedule will be Monday to Friday during regular office or site hours. At times, operational needs may require work outside these hours, with reasonable notice provided. All schedule or on‑call adjustments will comply with applicable employment standards legislation. It is mandatory for all employees to complete a Criminal Background check and successfully attain a Restricted Access Identity Card (RAIC) upon joining the company.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Experience supporting logistics functions on major construction or infrastructure programs.
- Familiarity with airport environments, access control systems, or restricted-area operations is an asset.
- Exposure to construction scheduling, permit processes, or stakeholder coordination.
- Knowledge of safety, security, or compliance processes in operational environments is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction setting.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with GTAA or other major airport procedures is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for RAIC clearance required.
