Job Description:
Fotheringham Agra Ltd. is seeking a reliable and motivated Farm Hand/Labourer with experience operating tractors, large agricultural equipment, and performing field work. This role supports daily poultry farm operations, including barn work, field operations, and equipment handling, while maintaining high standards for biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tractors and large farm equipment (required) for field work, manure spreading, bedding, and yard maintenance
- Perform field operations such as tillage, planting, harvesting, and material transport as required
- Assist with poultry barn operations including bird care, monitoring flock health, and maintaining barn conditions
- Complete barn clean-outs and setup between flocks
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs
- Follow strict biosecurity, animal welfare, and safety protocols
- Maintain clean and organized barns, fields, equipment, and work areas
- Assist with general farm duties as needed
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience on a poultry or livestock farm required
- Proven experience operating tractors and large agricultural equipment required
- Experience with field work and seasonal farm operations
- Understanding of poultry biosecurity practices
- Physically capable of working in barns and outdoor field environments
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak seasons
- Valid driver’s license required (AZ/DZ an asset)
