Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, the Senior Manager, Labour Strategy & Store Operations Performance is responsible for driving store labour performance and consistent execution of core store operating standards across the store network.
This role leads labour strategy, planning, and optimization, alongside execution tracking and governance of core operational processes, with a focus on clear expectations, disciplined routines, and measurable performance outcomes.
The role owns the design, management, and continuous improvement of tools, reporting, and operating routines that enable store and field teams to effectively plan labour, manage costs, and execute against company standards. The Senior Manager partners closely with Field Leadership and cross‑functional teams to reinforce accountability, improving store productivity, manage operating costs, and enabling scalable, consistent execution across all locations.
Specifically, You Will:
Own end-to-end labour model design, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment to financial targets and evolving store/service needs.
Lead development and governance of labour standards, aligned to operational requirements, productivity expectations, and service models.
Own and continuously improve labour forecasting, scheduling, and workforce management programs, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment to demand.
Design and deploy tools that enable field teams to plan, forecast, and manage labour, improving decision-making and visibility to performance and actions.
Drive continuous improvement of workforce management practices, including scheduling optimization, forecast accuracy, and productivity measurement.
Identify and implement efficiencies and cost opportunities across labour spend, balancing cost, service levels, sales performance, and execution.
Lead the roadmap for advanced workforce management capabilities, including AI-driven scheduling, forecasting, and productivity optimization.
Run regular labour and P&L performance reviews, providing clear variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities, and reinforcing accountability for controllable expenses.
Some of what you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related field required (or equivalent experience).
Strong knowledge of store operating expense management in a multi‑site retail environment, including budgeting, forecasting, allocation, and performance tracking across controllable expenses.
Solid understanding of labour planning fundamentals (e.g., labour models, forecasting, scheduling, productivity standards, and time & attendance), with the ability to align labour decisions to store needs and business priorities.
Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable operational insights for field leadership.
Proven change leadership—designing processes that drive adoption and reduce complexity for store teams.
7+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, operational excellence, or operations analytics.
2+ years leading or influencing enterprise processes across a multi-store environment; people leadership experience strongly preferred.
Experience partnering with Field Leadership (RVP/DM/Store Managers) to drive execution against budgets and operational standards.
