We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Business Analyst to join the Assessment & Building Business Centre within the Community, Growth & Identity Division on a 24-month term. This position reports to the Assessment & Building Manager and provides business analysis, documentation, testing, user support, and change enablement for departmental applications, digital services, process improvements, and related initiatives. The role involves Building, Planning & Development, Engineering and Business licensing, with a key focus on strengthening the connections in the land development workflows. Key responsibilities include:

Support the electronic permitting experience for Building & Assessment, and Planning & Development by assisting with troubleshooting, testing, documentation, training, and user support;

Work with staff to identify workflow challenges, system enhancement opportunities, and process improvements that strengthen service delivery and operational efficiency;

Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for business centre applications, digital services, and process changes;

Support the testing, implementation, and adoption of system changes, enhancements, and new business processes;

Provide operational support for business centre applications, including issue investigation, user inquiries, and coordination of resolutions;

Develop and maintain procedures, training materials, job aids, and other resources to support consistent and effective system use;

Support data integrity, accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and continuous improvement within business centre processes.
