Position Summary
The planner position, under general supervision, is responsible for materials planning, production scheduling and inventory control to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with development of the master production schedule to satisfy Customer demand while optimizing production resources and minimizing inventory.
· Review production schedules to determine material and part requirements to ensure availability for on time delivery.
· Participate in daily production scheduling meetings for capacity and material planning.
· Resolving daily problems, through analysis and troubleshooting of issues associated with the key performance metrics
· Monitor external sub-contracting requirements and expedite when necessary. Plating & Silkscreen.
· Support annual physical inventory count.
· Participating and supporting continuous improvement activities and initiatives
· Other related duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
· Related post-secondary diploma in Supply Chain management or equivalent is preferred
· 1-2 years of previous, related experience in an Inventory or Production role is preferred
· Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
· Previous experience using an ERP/MRP system (SAGE X3) is preferred

Will interact effectively and regularly with:
· Hourly operations employees including Production Leaders
· Inside Sales departments
· Purchasing
· Logistics & Shipping

· Technical Aptitude – Good working knowledge of planning BOM’s and an understanding of material planning in this environment. Good working knowledge of material planning functions and systems.
