About the Role
We are looking for customer service-minded Servers with strong interpersonal and communication skills that understand every interaction contributes to the overall guest experience. Our restaurant operates across in-house dining and take-out service, so strong situational awareness, timing, and communication skills are essential. An appreciation for Japanese cuisine and service philosophy is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, professional and composed service always
- Guide guests through menu selections with confidence and accuracy
- Ensure accuracy of all orders and modifications using the point-of sale system
- Monitor and observe guests’ dining experience ensuring satisfaction or notifying acting manager immediately of issues
- Support take-out and catering coordination when required, and assisting other front-of-house members when able/necessary
- Process bill payment, complete guest dining experience and reset tables for next guest.
- Maintain clean and organized service areas, including stocking
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house team
- Complete side duties as dictated by manager on duty
- Maintain neat, attractive and professional appearance and actions
Qualifications
- 1+ year previous experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation
- Strong communication skills with an excellent command of the English language
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
