Job Overview
Dairy Fountain Inc. is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Processing Technician to join our dairy manufacturing team in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is responsible for operating dairy processing equipment, preparing product batches according to specifications, monitoring production parameters, and supporting food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate dairy processing equipment such as pasteurizers, separators, homogenizers, mix tanks, and blenders
- Prepare batches according to formulations, SOPs, and production schedules
- Monitor processing parameters including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and mixing times
- Complete Batch Records, log sheets, and production documentation accurately
- Perform in-process quality checks and support food safety requirements
- Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, and company food safety procedures
- Support CIP procedures and equipment preparation activities
- Report sanitation, safety, or equipment concerns to the Supervisor or Team Leader
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dairy, beverage, or food manufacturing is preferred
- Understanding of pasteurization, fermentation, or mixing processes is considered an asset
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, formulas, and Batch Records
- Basic mechanical aptitude, math skills, and computer proficiency
- Ability to work safely in hot, cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and occasional lifting
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with food safety and health and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational requirements
