Base Hourly rate $50.00-Base Salary is $104,000.00 but with Rotating Shift bonus and build in Overtime it is $52.44 per hour-Salary with Rotating shift bonus and OT-$114,530.00

Overview
The Facilities Support Technician maintains and troubleshoots utility equipment & control systems to sustain reliable operation of the plant. Key equipment such as HVAC, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, glycol loops, hot water systems, and calibrated instruments is the responsibility of the Facilities Support Technician. The role focus is on safety, environmental, energy efficiency, and reliability in a team based environment working closely with Operating Engineers.
The Goodyear Napanee plant operates on a 24/7 schedule. Candidates must have the flexibility to work a non-standard schedule in order to meet the needs of the business, including during plant shutdown periods.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- System Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing
- Building Automation: Programming and maintaining building automation systems and energy management systems.
- Calibration: Adjusting and testing thermostats, sensors, actuators, transmitters, gauges, and valves to ensure they accurately measure process variables like temperature, pressure, flow, and chemical composition.
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine inspections of equipment, replacing defective parts, adjusting fluid and/or lubrication levels, and documentation as needed.
Skills & Tools Required
- Technical Skills: Blend of mechanical aptitude and electrical proficiency, strong computer skills.
- Reading Schematics: Ability to interpret complex diagrams and schematics.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective Communication: Strong, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, active listening, solid presentation skills to inform and persuade others with accurate information and data, effective ability to communicate needs.
Qualifications
Candidates must have training and education in one or more of the following certifications:
- Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (313A)
- Gas Technician (G1 or G2)
- Instrumentation and Controls Technician (447A)
