Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and experienced Snow Removal Crew Leader to join our winter operations team. This role is ideal for someone with previous snow removal, landscaping, property maintenance, or equipment experience who is confident leading a small crew, operating snow removal equipment, driving with a trailer, and ensuring properties are serviced safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is reliable, motivated, physically capable, and comfortable working outdoors in winter weather conditions. This position requires availability during snow events, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when required.
Duties
- Lead and assist with snow removal operations at residential and/or commercial properties
- Operate equipment such as snow blowers, shovels, salters, and other snow removal tools
- Drive company vehicles with trailers to and from job sites safely and responsibly
- Load, secure, transport, and unload snow removal equipment and materials
- Apply salt/de-icing products when required
- Ensure driveways, walkways, entrances, and other designated areas are cleared properly
- Monitor job quality and ensure properties are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Maintain clean and organized vehicles, trailers, equipment, and work areas
- Perform basic equipment checks and maintenance before and after shifts
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed
- Be available for on-call snow events, including overnight shifts, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Previous snow removal, landscaping, property maintenance, or construction experience is required
- Previous leadership, crew supervision, or job site management experience is strongly preferred
- Must have a valid G driver’s license
- Must be comfortable and experienced driving with a trailer
- Ability to safely operate snow blowers, shovels, salters, and related equipment
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labour in cold winter conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond quickly during snow events
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working irregular hours based on weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude with clients and team members
