Construction Project Manager
Are you an experienced construction professional who thrives on planning, organization, and delivering successful projects? We're looking for a Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects from pre-construction through completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects from planning and budgeting through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Coordinate project activities with site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure accurate execution.
- Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule, budget, or quality concerns.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
- Source, negotiate, and coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, safety, and project performance.
- Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to clients, management, and field staff.
- Ensure projects comply with all applicable building codes, regulations, permits, and safety requirements.
- Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions to minimize delays and additional costs.
- Support estimating and pre-construction planning for upcoming projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in residential, commercial, or civil construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and engineering drawings.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is considered an asset but is not required for experienced candidates.
