SOUS CHEF — AUX CROCHETS, GRAND BEND

Aux Crochets is opening soon in Grand Bend with a French-inspired fine dining experience—classic technique, premium ingredients, and a service standard that feels polished and intentional.
We're hiring a Sous Chef to be the Executive Chef's right hand and a key leader on the line. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in service, supports the team, and holds the standard every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead from the line: execution, pace, communication, and station support during service
- Train and coach cooks: prep technique, consistency, plating, station readiness
- Support prep planning: work with Executive Chef on daily/weekly prep, ordering, and inventory
- Manage stations: ensure all stations are ready, stocked, organized, and running smoothly
- Problem-solve in real-time: handle service issues, support other stations, keep the line moving
- Daily collaboration: pre-service huddle with Executive Chef and team, post-service debrief
- Report to the Executive Chef: weekly feedback, training needs, scheduling, and continuous improvement
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Sous Chef or strong Senior Line Cook/Lead Cook experience in a high-standard kitchen
- Strong fundamentals and pride in consistency
- Team-first attitude: you communicate well and you don't bring ego into the kitchen
- Reliable under pressure and hungry to grow with a serious program
THE STRUCTURE
You report to the Executive Chef and manage line cooks and prep support. You're the bridge between the Executive Chef's vision and the line's execution. Your feedback shapes how we train, schedule, and improve every day.
SCHEDULE & COMMITMENT
- Full-time, year-round
- Service includes lunch + dinner, with weekend breakfast/lunch/dinner during peak periods
COMPENSATION
- Negotiable based on experience
