Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties

The relationship between globalization and the media is examined in light of the debates over cultural imperialism, information and technology flow, cultural hybridization and the media's impact on socio-economic development.
Lectures and discussion (three hours); one term

Required Qualifications
Professional and educational background in the field, plus experience in classroom teaching. Applicants should have a PhD or be near completion of a PhD in Communication Studies or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience in communication or media studies/arts is preferred.
