We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Staging & Facilities Associate to primarily assist with staging-related work, along with general maintenance and property-support tasks. The ideal candidate will be practical, organized, physically capable, and comfortable working independently in a variety of environments.
Position Overview
As a Staging & Facilities Associate at Coldwell Banker Electric Realty, you will support our staging and brokerage operations by helping prepare properties for market. Your primary responsibilities will include loading, transporting, assembling, placing, and removing staging furniture and décor.
You will also assist with general maintenance, minor repairs, property preparation, office upkeep, and other hands-on tasks as required. This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, notices the details, and can be trusted to represent the brokerage professionally while working in clients’ homes and in office.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, transport, assemble, place, and remove staging furniture, artwork, décor, and accessories
- Assist with staging installations and de-staging appointments at residential properties
- Safely move and arrange furniture while taking care to protect walls, floors, belongings, and staging inventory
- Organize, maintain, and track furniture, décor, tools, and other staging materials
- Keep staging storage areas clean, organized, and accessible
- Assist with minor property repairs and general maintenance tasks
- Complete basic painting, patching, furniture assembly, installations, and touch-ups as required
- Support property preparation, including light cleaning, exterior upkeep, waste removal, and general organization
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep at brokerage offices and other company-managed spaces
- Identify and report damaged inventory, maintenance concerns, or safety issues
- Coordinate with staging, administrative, and leadership teams to complete assignments efficiently
- Provide courteous and professional service when working around agents, clients, homeowners, and vendors
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use tools and equipment responsibly
- Assist with other general labour and operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 25 years of age or older and hold a valid "G" level driver’s licence.
- Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Previous experience in general labour, moving, staging, maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a related hands-on role is an asset
- Comfortable performing physically active work, including lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and working on your feet
- Ability to safely lift and move furniture and other bulky items, independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, minor repairs, painting, and furniture assembly
- Strong attention to detail and respect for clients’ homes and personal property
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Professional and respectful communication skills
- Willingness to travel between properties throughout Peterborough, the Kawarthas, and surrounding areas
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence and clean driving record are considered assets
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends based on staging and property needs is considered an asset
