We’re looking for an experienced camp cook to run the kitchen at our remote placer mining camp outside Mayo. If you’re the kind of person who’s comfortable in the bush, can work on your own, and knows how to keep a crew fed and happy, you’ll fit right in.
You’ll be cooking for about 15–20 people, planning meals, keeping supplies topped up, and making sure the kitchen stays clean and safe.
This role is 7 days a week.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Daily meals for 15–20 people — breakfast, dinner, snacks, and packed lunches
- Planning menus based on what’s in camp and what the crew likes
- Keeping track of inventory and ordering food/supplies
- Keeping the kitchen clean and up to food‑safe standards
- Baking (bread, muffins, squares, etc.) is a big plus
- Handling any dietary needs
- Helping with light camp chores when needed (common areas, dishes, etc.)
What We’re Looking For
- Camp or similar cooking experience — mining, exploration, lodge, or bush camp
- Valid First Aid Level 2 or 3 (required)
- Comfortable cooking for medium‑sized crews
- Able to run a kitchen solo and stay organized
- Happy living and working in a remote northern camp
- Food Safe (can be done online in a day)
- Physically able to handle kitchen work and supplies
- Good attitude
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
