We serve a diverse range of municipal, Indigenous, and private sector clients—and we’re looking for a CAD / Revit and Civil 3D Designer to help us deliver exceptional infrastructure solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a key contributor to our engineering design team, producing high-quality drawings that support land development, water/wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to bring designs to life and ensure our projects meet client expectations and technical standards, in a fast-paced, multi-project environment that values precision, collaboration, and strong team work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed engineering drawings including plan/profile views, site plans, and grading layouts.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices to compile complete drawing sets.
- Support senior engineers and project managers in preliminary and detailed design phases.
- Coordinate inputs from internal teams and external sub-consultants.
- Assist with quantity take-offs and design calculations.
- Provide field and office support during construction, including responding to contractor inquiries.
- Contribute to project delivery that meets timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
- Produce water and wastewater infrastructure drawings including plan and profile views, site layouts, pump station arrangements, and process/mechanical schematics, consistent with applicable municipal and provincial design standards.
- Manage concurrent drawing deliverables across multiple active projects; adapt priorities efficiently as project scopes and timelines evolve.
What You Bring
- Diploma in Civil/Environmental/Construction Management or Computer Drafting (AutoCAD/Civil 3D), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using Revit, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong design skills and a passion for precision and creativity.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and PDF editing tools.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical standards.
- Experience producing water and wastewater infrastructure drawings, including process schematics, process and instrumentation drawings, mechanical/equipment arrangement drawings, etc.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach suited to a fast-paced, multi-project environment; able to manage competing priorities and deadlines while supporting colleagues across disciplines.
- CADD work samples for consideration of work quality.
Bonus Skills (Assets):
- Experience with municipal infrastructure design (vertical and horizontal).
- Familiarity with BIM, and MicroStation is considered an asset.
- Exposure to project management and contract administration.
- Experience producing water and wastewater infrastructure drawings, including plan/profile for mains and sewers, and pump station and plant site plans.
