About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Senior Business Development Manager will lead business development initiatives across Western Canada. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, developing strategic relationships, securing new projects, and positioning Nelson Environmental Remediation as the contractor of choice for environmental remediation and related services.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the Western Canadian environmental markets, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop winning solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, engineers, municipalities, Indigenous communities, industrial clients, developers, and general contractors.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new project opportunities throughout Western Canada.
- Lead client presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract discussions.
- Monitor market trends, upcoming projects, procurement opportunities, and competitor activity.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive project strategies and successful bids.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Promote Nelson Environmental Remediation's commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- 5 years of business development, sales, or account management experience within environmental remediation, environmental services, construction, industrial services, or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success generating new business and achieving revenue growth.
- Strong network of industry contacts throughout Western Canada is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Solid understanding of project procurement, tendering, and competitive bidding processes.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada.

Pay: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
