Summary
South West Bulk Express INC is currently hiring 4 Tire & Lube Technicians to support our fleet maintenance operations:
✅ 2 Senior Tire & Lube Technician
✅ 2 Junior Tire & Lube Technicians
In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, lubrication services, tire work, and minor repairs on our fleet of trucks and trailers. You will also assist with roadside service calls when required to support fleet uptime and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality preventative maintenance
- Complete thorough vehicle inspections to ensure work is completed to standard
- Perform lubrications and oil changes
- Complete tire work, repairs, rotations, and replacements (truck and trailer)
- Identify abnormal tire wear patterns and report concerns to the maintenance team
- Complete minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks as required
- Assist with service calls / roadside tire service for company trucks when needed
- Operate the wash bay facility and ensure vehicles are cleaned, washed, and dried after repairs and service are completed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Senior Technician Role (2 Position)
The Senior Technician will be expected to:
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Diagnose tire wear patterns and recurring issues
- Lead by example on safety, efficiency, and quality
- Assist with prioritizing fleet service needs
- Support training and mentoring of junior technicians
Junior Technician Roles (2 Positions)
Junior Technicians will:
- Support the senior technician and maintenance team
- Learn commercial tire service and lube procedures
- Gain experience with inspections, tire work, and roadside calls
- Develop skills to become fully independent over time
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred
- Commercial tire experience is an asset (required for senior role, preferred for junior roles)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in vehicle maintenance
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
