Kaboom Fireworks is seeking an energetic and reliable Shipper/Reciever to join our dynamic team! What You’ll Do
· Handle shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading trucks using a forklift or pump truck with care.
· Manually build, pack and label retail and wholesale freight orders.
· Sort, label, repack products received from both retail and wholesale.
· Track inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate and timely shipments.
· Work closely with a team of 2–4 warehouse staff to ensure task get completed.
· Assist in inventory management, including product counts and electronic record updates.
· Manage product movement and storage within the warehouse and outdoor storage areas. Including manually loading and unloading storage units both inside and outside.
· Stage the warehouse for building orders for different warehouse fullfillment needs.
· Operate forklifts to move equipment, freight, supplies, materials and shipping containers.
Other Duties:
· Assist site manager to determine and communicate priorities for the day. Task, Time and labour allocation and management.
· Trouble shoot facility and equipment such as forklift, shipping container locks, container doors, outdoor locks, gates, etc.
· Help maintain a clean and organized workspace both indoors and outdoors.
· Assist with site maintenance both indoors and outdoors.
· Assist with maintenance of vehicles such as forklift, pumptrucks, trailers, etc.
· Monitor and replenish warehouse materials and supplies as needed.
· Assist the Site Manager with onboarding and training new general labourers.
· Communicate with the Operations Manager regarding freight pickups, site maintenance, and equipment management.
· Ensure compliance with government regulations and health & safety protocols.
· Identify and Recommend process improvements for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Experience/Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- 3+ years of forklift operation experience.
- Experience in inventory management is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift, push, and move packages up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 60 lbs).
- Must be able to provide a clear police record check upon hiring.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime during the high season (March–August) as needed.
- Weekend shifts may be required.
