Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Kitchen Chef to lead culinary operations in our dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene standards
- Develop and implement menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control efficiently
- Monitor food quality and consistency to meet established standards
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Enforce cleanliness and sanitation procedures within the kitchen area
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of the food industry standards, including health regulations and safety protocols
- Hands-on experience with food handling, serving, and kitchen operations
- Previous roles involving restaurant experience or kitchen experience are highly desirable
